James "Jim" F. Brandabur is "Of Counsel" with The Law Offices of Brandabur and Bowling after several decades with the prestigious former Dayton area firm of Brandabur, Campbell, Finlay, Johnson, Weckstein & Beard. Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to The Law Offices of Brandabur and Bowling. Jim focuses exclusively on Estate and Trust planning and administration.
Jim extensive legal career began with General Motors Corporation as a tax attorney before he left to form his own firm. While in private practice with the firm of Brandabur, Campbell, Finlay, Johnson, Weckstein & Beard, Jim handled both civil and criminal litigation at all levels, while maintaining an active Estate and Trust practice.
Jim's goals in Estate and Trust planning are to assist in minimizing tax consequences thereby maximizing your loved one’s inheritance so that they realize the benefits that you worked so hard to provide, and to plan for ease of the future administration of the Estate or Trust.
Jim previously served as director of Xenia National Bank and Society Bank, NA from 1972 through 1990. His very active support of the community is evidenced by his service as a member of the Xenia City Board of Zoning Appeals, President of the YMCA for Xenia and Greene County, Ohio, Park Commissioner for the Greene County Park District from 1963-1987, Greene County Fish and Game Association, Optimist club member and past president, Greene County Fraternal Order of Police, Miami Valley Estate Planning Council, Greene County Bar Association member and past President, as well as a Member, Trustee and Chairman of the Greene County Law Library Association 1965-2003. Jim is licensed to practice in all Ohio and Federal Courts and is a member of numerous local, regional and national Bar Associations.
